Todd Cook

I strongly recommend Ed as a highly skilled manager who gets exceptional results. As the first squadron commander of a new squadron, the single most daunting challenge facing the unit was establishing and maturing programs to ensure the squadron ran smoothly and remained in compliance with directives. Ed rose to that challenge and amazed me routinely. He met not just the demands of his commander, but of other members of the squadron staff. He also offered perspective that often proved vital to reaching an even better solution than we'd originally hoped for. In addition, Ed did not do this alone. Throughout this infancy process, Ed also proved himself as a talented leader. With his own team, Ed led junior members of our squadron to become the nerve center of the unit, and this paid huge dividends to the unit's capabilities. As a result of his team's efforts, our squadron was inspection-ready in under nine months, and we were selected as the Maintenance Effectiveness Award winners for our category for all of Air Mobility Command that year...our very first year as a stand-alone unit. Ed was truly the cornerstone of our success.

Rolando Velasquez, CMSgt (Ret), MSPM

Ed is organized, reliable, and commited to job excellence and the career progression of his subordinates. He has the ability to manage in even the most stressful of situations. It is because of his experience and commitment to his subordinates that I repeatedly asked him to mentor me when I first started the job. He continually demonstrated the ability to handle high-volumes of work and consistently meet all suspenses while at the same time growing his subordinates into a professional and cohesive team.
