As well as teaching on an NQT timetable I was responsible for tracking the progress of pupil premium students and implementing interventions across the English department at Cardinal Wiseman Catholic Academy, Coventry. This was through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. In my first year as a qualified teacher I am also Assistant Head of House, responsible for orchestrating and evaluating a range of extra-curricular activities across the school. This includes a variety of school-wide competitive events. Finally, I am the "Learning Intentions Champion" for the English department. In this position I have created a "Learning Intentions Handbook" for my colleagues to ensure consistency.
