      Performing as field project lead expeditor for the Cerro Verde Project Unit Expansion II (CVPUE II) developed by Fluor on behalf of Freeport Mc-Moran (FCX) being the major project undertaken in South America during the last 02 years. It is a USD 4.5 billion entire project and managing over a USD 1 billion in materials. Main activities that are being performed consist in coordinate together with the field expediting team I lead to, all the activities associated with the prompt and accurate deliverance for all major and minor equipments, structural steel, plateworks, pre fabricated and erected tanks, cables, spools, instrumentation, piping and electrical bulk materials etc. A deep coordination between engineering, construction, procurement, traffic and logistic and vendors are required to comply with both contractual vendor agreements and with the timeline established in the project. Some of the purchase orders managed in this project are in the range between USD 5 and $USD 50 million. The CVPUEII reached his first goal on time, the first ore, with the operation of the first two ball mills and right after that the flotation and the consecution of the first copper concentrate. At the time of my departure the concentrator plant was finished at 100% and operating. The molybdenum plant was at its 98%. Show less
