Eduardo worked with us at LJMU Graduate Futures on a temporary assignment supporting our management information systems and administration. He did an absolutely amazing job, particularly in his work with Microsoft Excel and Power Automate, where he automated a number of our administrative processes, cutting down their completion time considerably. He is hardworking, enthusiastic, intelligent and excellent with spreadsheets and technology. He also has fantastic problem-solving skills and worked creatively to overcome a number of administrative challenges through experimenting with and implementing new software, programmes and formulas. He has been an absolute asset to our team and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Employer Engagement Administrative Assistant
-
Aug 2022 - Aug 2022
The Employer Engagement team is responsible for attracting and liaising with businesses and organisations from different sectors and sizes to provide work-based learning opportunities to students and graduates during each academic year. Examples of these opportunities can be graduate/sandwich placements, internships, workshops, networking events, and many more.I was brought to the Employer Engagement team to support with the amalgamation of the key business contacts database for future tracking and CRM implementation, as well as creating and developing databases to track and monitor progress made on securing internship opportunities for students and graduates. This support allowed the team to organise data and information much more effectively, as well as a visual summary of progress made through the academic year, with clear insights on which sectors and businesses are being best reached, and the opportunities for which students are applying and engaging the most. LJMU Graduate Futures Project Administration Officer
-
Mar 2022 - Jul 2022
LJMU Graduate Futures is a £2.4-million ESF-funded project that looks to provide job opportunities for LJMU students and graduates with small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) within the Liverpool City Region. One of the main goals of this project is to improve and develop professional and employability skills of students and graduates, as well as increasing employability rates and engagement between students and growing enterprises.I joined the LJMU Graduate Futures team on a temporary basis to support administrative processes within the project. This was a slightly challenging job for me given the fact I had not been involved in a work setting for a few years due to starting my MSc degree; however, I took this opportunity to get to know how it feels to work in a different country and an unknown sector for me.I first started supporting different areas of the project, such as data/information management, job posting, and documentation/paperwork management within the project team. I saw an area of development with the project's processes and decided to get deeply involved with improving productivity and data analytics, and did so by automating numerous processes and files within the project (e.g. participant registration, KPIs, target tracking, etc). These improvements allowed the team to significantly reduce the time that it took to complete certain tasks, as well as accurately monitor the project progress in terms of goals and number of participants/SMEs engaged. After a few months, I carried on with a higher responsibility by becoming the temporary Project Administration Officer. This role involved (in addition to the previously mentioned tasks) becoming responsible for procurement processes, claims management, and developing the project's Management Information System. My impact with the project was evidenced by improvements in productivity, a robust system to monitor project progress, and a significant increase in claims submitted in Q2 of 2022 (approx. 400%).
