• Ensure the Project Health & Safety Plan is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the Contract requirements. • Developed HSE Procedures and monitor its effectiveness. • Responsible for the development and implementation of Safety, Health & Security policies and ensure that site operates in accordance with applicable statutory & regulatory requirements. Overall manage matters related to health and safety issues; acknowledge requirements of contract and procedures for the project. • Draft Emergency plan of the project and take relevant action if any emergency occurs. • Member of the Safety Committee and ensure that safety and environment meetings are held in accordance with regulatory requirements. • Conduct risk assessments. • Coordinate and conduct Safety, Health & Security training at all levels on site and head office. • Arrange independent Safety audit and follow-up on corrective action. • Liaise with respective Authorities on matters related to Safety, Health & Security issues. • Establish site security plan in conjunction with HSE Manager. • Plan Internal Safety Audit. Follow-up on the corrective action of Internal Safety Audit. • Ensuring that all relevant information from audits and inspections, including Physical Conditions inspections, is promptly given to the Section personnel concerned. This information will be given on the day of the inspection or if the inspection is conducted in the late afternoon, the first thing the following day. • Review Client's, Consultant and workers complaints related to Health, Safety, and Environment and workers welfare. • Review project Safety appraisal reports and initiate actions to resolve Safety related issues. • Chair Safety meeting with site relevant staffs to identify any problems relating to the construction process and HSE Management System and initiate, recommend and provide solutions through designated channels.
