To cap the abilities of Mr. Edgar B. Faune, he is an inspiring Music teacher. He has inspired a lot of students to take Music and musicianship more seriously, and discover their talents in Music. He uses non-traditional methods of teaching Music that make his classes fun and more interesting for the students. He will not be able to teach Music this well if he himself is not a talented musician. He is can play almost any instrument, and even almost any sport. A well-rounded teacher, and an asset to any education institution.

I established, with the initiative of our Pastor Vitus, the first SHoJ Grand Choir of the parish. Included in the task is to have a regular weekly rehearsal and regular service at the church. Initially, the choir was formed to serve the celebration of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz Feast here in Cathedral of Mary our Queen Baltimore and I was assigned to conduct the choir. After the successful initial service, the group became known and the demand grew hence the group had served also to different Masses e.g. Annual Simbang Gabi at the Shrined of the Sacred Heart, Mt. Washington, Annual Asian Mass @ the St. Johns Church, Columbia, etc. Eventually, the choir joined with other local choirs in the Archdiocese of Baltimore to serve as choir for the Mid-Atlantic Congress (MAC) for Pastoral Leaders 2013. I joined the Contemporary choir after I became a parish member of the Cathedral. I was with the group for two years until I transferred to the Shrine of the Sacred Heart Parish. I am one of the pioneers who started the Integrated School (K-12) of De La Salle Canlubang circa May 2003. I was hired to explore, to create and to implement the music and the P.E. curriculum that will suit to the needs of our pioneer students from 1st Grade to 7th Grade(There were five levels only for our first year of operation). Equipped with Kodaly methodology and Elliott's praxial philosophy, I explored and created the curriculum with the hope that students will find joy in learning music. My tenure in DLSU-STC was halted because my family migrated to USA. Show less

The De La Salle system has an annual sports activity participated by all La Sallian schools in the Philippines. In spite of its early existence, the De La Salle Univ. - STC teams (formerly De La Salle Canlubang) excelled almost in all sports including our Lawn Tennis team which placed 2nd overall.

Kodaly Seminars are regularly conducted every summer in the Philippines since year 2000. The KSP hired foreign Kodaly Methodology experts including our own local experts, Miriam Factora, Carolyn Cheng, and others, to be our resource speakers for the entire summer seminar. My job during my stint as a board member was so minimal but being part and recipient of this seminar is outstanding and incomparable. I am very blessed that I was hired to teach music in this prestigious school. The school is so unique in educating students including parents and their teachers as well. I was assigned to teach music to a selected intelligent high school students. I created a curriculum on which the culmination of the program is each student should have their own composition. Music Theory and History, Recorder playing and Guitar playing, Tablature Reading, and Listening are the major components of my music program. Kodaly was initially introduced. Show less

This is the school where I started my career as a music teacher. I handled all the 27 sections from first year until fourth year HS. It was amazing that I survived my two-year stay here and I have a wonderful and unforgettable memories with my colleagues and my students. This is the school also where I found one of my life's greatest treasure, my Odie. This is the school where I started my career as a music teacher.
