  Alongside my studies at sixth form, I worked this part time retail job for a total of three years. Roles included working on tills, replenishing stock, helping customers and cleaning. This was a great experience for me to learn how to have a work/life/school balance and gave me necessary time management skills to balance my education and work experience, as well as practical skills from the job itself.   I did a weeks work experience at a graphic design company that was local to me. I was then invited back later that summer to do some additional paid work when they needed a hand with a large project. I learned skills such as: - preparing mood boards to show to clients - an industry standard knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop - brain storming ideas from sketches to fully realised mock up designs - creating supermarket shelf plans for a real client - communicating with a team - formatting ideas to present to clients - experience working in a professional graphic deign studio Show less
