  The Washington Climbers Coalition is Washington State's local non-profit organization that advocates for mountain, rock and alpine climbers as well as work towards preserving access to climbing areas on public and private land. I've worked on various infrastructure projects, including playing a key role in installing a human waste solution at a popular climbing area in eastern Washington.   I recruited, developed and supported our volunteer network on the west coast, helping to execute grass roots to large scale events and fundraisers. I collaborated with industry sponsors, and partner organizations, to amplify our messaging, fundraising, and outreach to share the AAC's mission to both old and new members. I played a key role in the American Alpine Club's part in conservation, advocacy and policy issues, and managed the organization's Cornerstone Conservation Grant that helped fund infrastructure projects across the United States.

  I recruited, coordinated, and supported our key volunteers throughout the Northwest Region including Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. As part of a new organization wide program, I helped lead the effort that increased our membership base through increased outreach, diversification and engagement.

  Feathered Friends is high-end domestic manufacturer of down sleeping bags, jackets, parkas, and luxury bedding. I created new collateral material for the Feathered Friends brand, executed all marketing plans to include outward facing, consumer ads (both digital and print), and in-store events programming. Key responsibilities included creating and maintaining an internal website for intra-store communication, development of online sales processes, and staff supervision for the retail store. As the soft-goods and footwear buyer, I ensured the retail store's selection of clothing and technical footwear was relevant to our customer and appropriate for our market niche, through researching trends, and adhering to our brand story. I maximized sales through timely re-orders, negotiation with vendors for best pricing, and forecasting inventory and sales levels.

  As part of the YMCA's management team, I created a new outdoor recreation program which included clinics in cycling, running, mountaineering and rock climbing. Having been part of the fitness team, I created exercise classes for members to support these new programs. New internal, and outward facing, marketing including print, web, and clothing was created to promote a new way of taking advantage of our local natural resources in the pursuit of health and wellness. Key events included a program that summited various peaks in the northwest including Mount Rainier, a group cycling rides and a branch team that rode the Seattle to Portland bike ride, and a volunteer trip leader training program. I also participated on the risk management committee that helped shape policies to increase the quality of programs, while helping manage the YMCA's exposure to liability.
