Automated all directions of supply chain to improve the movement of cash, material and information. Built a team, directed, coordinated, and defined MIS staff activities, projects, goals, and deadlines.Key Achievements:Received Board approval for a $6.5 million expenditure to implement ORACLE, as the foundation for a strategic business systems initiative, to improve internal ERP and Supply Chain Efficiencies. Developed a Data Warehouse using ORACLE Express tools and ORACLE Web Server. This OLAP system provided a web enabled sales force performance metric system. Designed and developed an Order Management System that calculated order gross margins and insured truckload maximization. Integrated a truckload configuration package that produced load diagrams that improved load stability and weight/cube maximization. The result of this project was a decrease in the freight to trade. Developed Web Front Office for the Metro and International sales force and brokerage services that eliminated the need for EDI and had a significant impact on order processing time. Set up delivery tracking system via EDI and homegrown applications to measure carrier delivery performance and assured billing accuracy. This project generated $400,000 dollar savings from incorrect billings and a substantial savings from customer deductions due to late fees. Developed Carrier Bid System that increased lane analysis from 800 points to over 9,600 resulting in a $1.5 million dollar freight savings and integrated this into ORACLE. Assisted with implementing a pallet-recycling program (CHEP), which reduced packaging cost by $500,000 annually. Implemented a Trade Spend Management Package to reduce and control trade spend. Spend reduced from a record of 17% of sales to a constant 11% of sales.
