TeachFirst was recently voted as one of the top graduate jobs in Britain. Teachers were given fast track teacher training and parachuted into so called " challenging schools" in Inner city London. The Salisbury school had a very high percentage of students on free school meals and with English as a second Language. Two years were spent teaching Business Studies to years 9/10/11/12/13 students in a mixed comprehensive. The amount of students receiving 5 a to Cs at GCSE varied between 9 - 15%. Almost 50% of Business Studies students received a C at GCSE. During these two years I passed the Foundations of Leadership qualification taught through the Imperial Business College. This course covered the basic outlines of an MBA.
