With a passion for books and kids, working at Discovery College as a Library Assistant is definitely a joy! As Library Assistant, I help with the basic administrative tasks within the Library such as the cataloguing of new resources and monitoring their circulation and preservation. Along with the general task of assisting students and classes with any needs or inquiries they may have, I also handle the stocktaking and lending of equipment, like video and digital cameras, a variety of cables, and electronic chargers. Having a moderate amount of experience working with computers and different forms of technology, providing basic technical support to staff and students is also one of my responsibilities, alongside maintaining the Library website.One of the greatest things about working as a Library Assistant is having the opportunity to connect with students across various ages and cultures on a daily basis.
