• Process and manage payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. • Maintain employee records and keep them up-to-date, including hours worked, wages paid, and deductions taken. • Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees on a regular schedule. • Ensure that all payroll-related taxes and deductions are calculated and paid accurately and on time. • Coordinate with HR to ensure that employee benefits and deductions are accurately reflected in payroll. • Process and manage payroll using the PayChex system. • Manage wage garnishments and other payroll-related deductions, such as child support or tax liens. • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required. • Work with HR to ensure that employees are eligible for FMLA and other leave programs. • Assist with the administration of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other leave programs. • Stay up-to-date on changes to payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. • Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information. • Reconcile benefits statements, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution for accurate record-keeping and deductions. • Assist the HR Director in conducting audits of HR programs and benefits, and recommend corrective action when necessary.
