1. Policy Analysis work 1.1.Stay up to date and engage with policy and government legislation regarding: a. Climate change policy – national and international b. Impacts of energy systems on humans and environment c. Energy solutions to climate change 1.2.Prepare Project 90’s policy submissions and presentations to government and Parliament 1.3.Prepare input on further public participation processes like public hearings and presentations to partner organizations. 1.5.Conduct analysis on new policy and legislation and prepare policy briefs 1.6.Communications: support the Project 90 Communicator with the drafting of press releases, op editorials, blog posts, web updates, newsletter articles, participate in TV and radio interviews 1.7.Develop content for stakeholder engagements 2. Liaising with other civil society organisations 2.1.Help to build collaborative relationships within the climate network to create joint outputs 2.2.Act as an ambassador for Project 90 at relevant events, workshops and seminars 2.3.Participate in relevant networks, such as: Energy Governance South Africa (EGSA); Energy Caucus; One Million Climate Jobs Campaign, Climate Action Network, COSATU climate change reference group 2.4.Attend occasional parliamentary committee sessions on relevant topics and report back 2.5.Attend and participate in government platformsinvolved in Climate Change and Energy work,such as the National Climate Change Committee (NCCC) and all its working groups and report back 2.6.Attend and represent Project 90 at occasional seminars, etc. on relevant topics and report back 2.7.Prepare and conduct presentations on policy issues as part of awareness raising as part of Project 90’s programmes 2.8.Continued investigation in potential partnerships related to Project 90s overall objectives and recommending opportunities for formal partnership and collaboration 2.9.Share knowledge on climate change with CSOs, Government, organized labour, communities and general public Show less
