The Bulldog Fund LLC is an active portfolio management program, in which students participate in the responsibilities of managing a portfolio through Macroeconomic research, S&P 500 sector specific research and individual equity research to derive investment decisions best suited for the portfolio strategy. As an Equity Research Analyst at the Bulldog Fund LLC, research was conducted primarily through the Information Technology sector of the S&P 500, where collaboration within the "Tech Sector" team was crucial to come up with investment decisions such as trade recommendations, "Beta Idea" presentations to add/drop names within the portfolio, & weekly update presentations for the names within the Information Technology sector, which include AAPL, ADBE, FTNT, LRCX, MSFT, NVDA, PAYC, & V. Company Earnings Reports and Updates were also constructed on a quarterly basis for each of the names within the Tech Sector. All of which supported the overall strategy of the portfolio, which is to outperform the S&P 500. Skills in Microsoft Office applications were developed as financial analysis through Excel, presentations in Powerpoint, and writing clear investment theses in Word were critical for the processes within the Fund. Utilization of FactSet was also necessary in order to assist with Fundamental Analysis of the companies within the Information Technology Sector. As a Student Director at the Bulldog Fund LLC, administrative tasks were performed to help assist the program director in daily operations. Additionally, leadership & management of other student equity research analysts was performed in order to assist with the activities necessary for a successful portfolio management process. While at the Bulldog Fund LLC, Net Asset Value of the Bulldog Fund grew above $3M while under management. Show less
