  • Lobbied elected officials leading to passage of net metering law, renewable portfolio standard. Defeated legislation that would have stagnated development of renewable energy. Blocked attempts to cut funding for programs dedicated to weatherization and energy efficiency.• Advocated through a workshop process at the Vermont Public Service Board for a strong net metering program. • Cultivated relationships with prospective major donors and led major fundraising meetings. • Owned all aspects of planning numerous annual events for 50-250+ attendees, including recruitment, logistics, and coordination with partner groups. • Launched outbound communication strategy to more than 30,000 supporters of all renewable energy work, driving awareness to all counties across the state. • Spoke on-the-record to journalists to represent VPIRG’s positions in the media.

  Managed a staff of 55 canvassers and 6 Assistant Directors. VPIRG's summer canvass knocked on more than 90,000 doors in the state and held more than 50,000 conversations with Vermonters about VPIRG's Big Money in Politics campaign. Responsible for recruiting, training, and managing all canvass staff, including a team of 6 Assistant Directors.
