Using Python and XML created a GUI for a GIS database built on ArcGIS. The tool was designed to simulate the biased random movements of an entity on a street map. The simulation is run several times and a heat map of traffic is generated which shows the most likely routes taken by the entity. The movement pattern can be configured and my GUI was designed to simplify the configuration process. Tested the model using tracking data generated by my own movements as recorded by a GPS-enabled watch. The team included one other undergraduate student besides the faculty lead. Show less
