I started in 2012 as a water truck driver and within a couple of months I was moved up to lead driver because of my ability to catch on quickly. I started rotating with my supervisor to take over on his days off, scheduling employees for their daily duties and communicating with other supervisors about future duties or needs through email or phone communication. I also inspected trucks to make sure they were in proper working order and did minor repairs as well. I was responsible for ensuring that all solid waste was picked on my designated route along with proper paperwork being filled out for each customer that did not follow protocol. I had to communicate with other drivers and my supervisor through radio and phone.
