I have worked with Dwight for a number of years at Quest, and have always been impressed with his commitment to produce a quality product while under difficult deadlines. As the Lead Developer for the Toad for MySQL product, Dwight worked with customers daily, and made certain that there was a short turn-around for their issues and requests even when the items were not in the schedule. He's a versatile developer who is frequently pulled onto other products when they need to make progress quickly. Dwight is also one of the most easy-going developers I have ever worked with, and a great resource for any team or company.

Dwight was a great source of information on upcoming releases during my time at Quest. He is a real team player that always took the time to go over what needed to be documented for future updates. I really enjoyed working with Dwight and feel he would be a great asset to any development team.

Transitioning from a full-stack developer and team leader to focus more on system architecture and new product development (NPD) has been a evolutionary experience. The challenges in technical know-how and responsibility have grown. The struggle to meet these new expectations has given me clarity to refocus on what's truly important.Getting a chance to meet, and interview professionals in the health care field has been a powerful experience because seeing the work they do helping and healing their patients in humbling. Going into the operating room and seeing the care and professionalism that doctors, nurses, and technicians exercise has focused my own efforts at work. In NPD we focus on the convergence of three goals: 1. Desirability - What does the customer really want and need? 2. Feasibility - Can we actually provide a technical solution? 3. Viability - Is there enough money in this product to pursue it?As an engineer, when we can merge these three goals we have a winning product on our hands. Having the tools and resources to properly pursue these goals is very refreshing. I love my job, and I love the people at Stryker. Show less

Following Stryker's acquisition of SurgiCount my responsibilities include acting as primary system architect, designing and implementing a new native Android application from the ground up as well as a Microsoft Azure cloud-based back-end system. In addition, I lead the iOS team that is developing and testing the Apple version of our product. I developed the architecture and implemented our Microsoft Azure Cloud Services middle-tier to support the new mobile applications. I selected Microsoft's WCF Data Services, Entity Framework 6, and ASP.NET MVC 5 technologies. Show less
