  A Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic/Repairer, I am ability to do the work of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic without more than normal supervision such as: Determining the best tooling material on repairs and disassembly to be used on heavy mobile equipment; Annotating completed work on verification checklists and modification sheets to maintain accurate vehicle repair records, overhaul or rebuild and make other major repairs of systems such as, diesel, gasoline and other types of internal combustion engines; heavy duty drive line systems and hydraulic utility systems and controls. Replace parts such as injection valves, cylinder heads, cylinder sleeves, pistons, rings and crank shafts. Connect, mesh, align and adjust items and systems to assure proper operation of the complete systems or vehicle. Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc. Making minor mechanical repairs, modifications, replacing components, on a wide variety of engineering, ordnance, motor transport, heavy mobile equipment (e.g. bull dozers, cranes, tractors, and trucks, etc.) and general equipment; assisting in the repair of complicated components on heavy mobile equipment; using basic tools common to the occupation (e.g. wrenches, sockets, torque wrenches, brake tools, and screwdrivers);ensures maintenance items such as tire pressure, bluid levels, etc. are in accordance with manufacturers specifications. Disassembling repairing, and reassembling diesel or gasoline engines and performing preventative maintenance on various types of heavy duty equipment.
