As a Mechanical Fitter in the Rail Devision I am responsible for the Installation and Modification of track-side equipment. Track-side equipment includes, the Standing and Construction of Signals, Installation of Points ranging from Single Compound, Duel Compound, Tangential, Duel Gauge running on Timber bearers or concrete Bearers. These turnouts were powered by Hydraulic rams or M23 Motors. I also have experience in the installation of De-railers ran on timbers or concrete bearers powered by Hydraulic rams or M23 motors. I am confident with my skills to Install and setup the turnouts to High standard which includes installation of all the rodding (Detection rods, Lock Rods, Drive Rods, Spreader Bars and 1B40's) I also have experience in the Modification of rodding to either lengthen/ shorten or put a Set in to suit the required turnout design. I am often required to think outside the square and Help design or modify temporary signaling equipment using existing parts to make something work. Since starting with Lend Lease I have worked on The Hurstbridge Signalling Upgrade, Williams Landing Project, Regional Rail Link Package A and I currently work on the Regional Rail Link Package B
