I conducted research on various economic sectors in developing nations, as well as various government initiatives in those countries, in order to attract FDI. Using the research and data complied, I executed a successful marketing campaign resulting in new clients looking to do business abroad. Additionally, I headed a team of fellow interns in organising the first ever Ethiopian Business and Investment Forum in the United States. Through cooperation with the Ethiopian Embassy and various partners, my team and I successfully qualified and recruited over 700 participants, mostly C-level executives, from industry leading companies to attend our forum. By educating the participants and putting on a high level event, we were able to bring awareness to the economic opportunities in Ethiopia's emerging market and expand the network of US companies doing business in Africa. By hiring and training our team I was able to create a customer friendly environment and drive sales during my time at A Street Bike Named Desire. I worked directly with distributers and manufactures overseas in order to acquire an inventory that met the needs of our clients in rapidly changing market place. I also organised events and executed marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and make A Street Bike Named Desire a mainstay in the local biking community. Show less
