Analysis of next generation sequencing data (histone modification marks) for the discovery of functional annotations of human genome. Developed a scalable bi-clustering approach to identify combinatorial histone modification patterns from human ChIP-seq datasets. Explored the dynamics of protein interactions through the progression of prostate cancer by extending a framework developed for the analysis of temporal social networks. Developed a framework to integrate evidence from diverse data sources, ChIP-chip, gene expression, nucleosome occupancy and Transcription Factor motif binding sites, to identify functional and non-functional protein-DNA interactions. Identified condition-specific regulatory pathways to exploit the response of cell machinery to various environmental stimuli [published in ISMB 2009]. Conducted research on the investigation of an alternative reciprocal approach for gene association network construction. Investigated a MANOVA-based model for gene set level hypothesis testing to elucidate biological response to HIV drug treatments [Published in Bioinformatics journal in 2007].
