During my time as a service technician I have obtained skills related to diagnosis and repair of primarily Toyota motor vehicles including electrical, chassis, suspension, brake, engine, transmission and drive line systems. Working in a shop has given me practical experience in problem solving situations for which there may not be a straight-forward solution, as well as giving me a familiarity with machinery and tools found in a shop environment including a hydraulic press, lathe, and mill. As a research assistant I was involved in the design, manufacture, and assembly of an experimental setup to investigate entropy generation in combining and dividing flow through mini channels using particle image velocimetry (PIV), pressure drop data, and PIVLab. As a drill instructor I was in charge of assisting students in physics classes with guided assignments and answering questions related to homework assigned by the professor.
