I am the International Manager at New College Lanarkshire, Scotland and I have known Durani Gothami since she started her studies at the previously named Motherwell College in 2010. Durani, originally from Sri Lanka, came to Motherwell College to study a Hospitality Management course and successfully completed the Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management. Durani was always a conscientious, hardworking and enthusiastic student and it was a pleasure to have her at our College. Durani then moved to London to continue her studies and was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism in Docklands Academy, London in 2015. After this time, Durani continued her studies on returning to her native Sri Lanka and started her career as an English Lecturer. Durani and I have continued to keep in touch over the years and I’m very proud of all she has achieved both academically and professionally. She has demonstrated that she is a lifelong learner, always aiming to achieve more while developing her teaching skills further. She is intelligent, proactive and works extremely hard to achieve the best for herself and her students. I highly recommend Durani for future positions and have no doubt that she will be an asset to any institution.
