• To further my interest in cross-border work and issues, I co-founded European Horizons (Birmingham Chapter), a global student-led policy incubator whose mission is to give young people a voice in shaping the future of European and transatlantic affairs. • My work with European Horizons has given me the opportunity to partake in The Digital Economy Youth Summit held at the University of Cambridge, where I worked with a team of individuals from across the globe to discuss and research issues relating to the digital economy, enhancing my cross-cultural communication skills.

• I coordinated and managed the planning and delivery of projects and events such as homeless feeds and care home visits. • I led the BADG campaign, a month-long charity campaign. This involved delegating tasks, setting deadlines, overseeing and motivating the team of over 100 volunteers.• I launched and led the Water Well Project that involved fundraising to build water wells for families in need in Bangladesh. • This position of responsibility has improved my organization, project management, time management and communication skills through the continual organization of events and management of teams.

• My passion for linguistics extended to teaching English as a foreign language in Oman during the summer break. I developed my professionalism and ability to build relationships through this experience, and the number of students I tutored gradually increased from nine to sixteen having been referred to by parents and students. • Teaching students of various ages and levels meant that I needed to accommodate different needs. This helped me develop my ability to manage client expectations and communicate complex rules in simple terms.
