Director of School Age Child Care
-
Oct 2019 - Sep 2021
Successfully transitioned the School Age Child Care Program that was held through the Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome, Family Center to the Children's Home. When BGCWB closed the School Age Child Care, Before and After School program was able to continue thanks to Union Endicott and Maine Endwell Schools. Inevitably, the program would need to run under another Organization. The Children's Home was able to hold this program. I worked closely with the Children's Home and NYS OCFS to have the former BGCWB Sites, plus an additional site open under NYS OCFS regulations. Once the sites were open and the Children's Home bought the former BGCWB Building, I was able to re-open the School Age Child Care in the building, opening for the Summer of 2022. The program did close during the start of the pandemic but my School Age Child Care Team was able to put a plan in place and run a Summer Program for Parents who had to return to work ASAP. We then were able to work through the pandemic and work with youth, parents, teachers and schools to provide full day care while learning remotely. Show less
