This including building rapid MVPs for market testing and then migration to fully scaled production assets. In 2018 I started off with a small 5 person team of amazing engineers through managing, planning, pair programming, and final code review. As a team have performed multiple migrations from our legacy MySQL database DB to Cloud Spanner with zero downtime for the user base. We also moved our entire backend APIs from REST to GraphQL. In July 2018 I have started to manage multiple teams. One focusing on greenfield development and the other taking ownership of our entire backend architecture building out best practices, metrics, and ensuring fast reliable end points. During the holiday shopping season in 2018, I managed and contributed to the team that supported our backends during the smoothest Black Friday weekend in company history. The offers team on a very short deadline completely replaced a legacy system in place without any outages all while serving millions of users a day. In March 2019 my role expanded even further to leading 4 teams of cross functional teams, leading and directly and indirectly managing over 30 people. Culturally I am a leader at Honey as well, I have run the Engineering Retrospectives and encouraging cross team interaction through various events and activities I manage.
