CityStudio is an award winning collaboration model between municipalities and post-secondaries. This is a permanent project channel and partnership framework that helps cities and schools to collaborate strategically in the everyday business of city building, towards more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities. Operating as a problem distribution framework from the city to the schools, CityStudio fulfils the needs of three community stakeholders simultaneously: city staff receive increased capacity and expertise to help solve problems; academic institutions fulfil community engagement goals while students develop valuable skills and professional networks for future employment; and community members are engaged in building their own city through civic action in their neighbourhoods.A Canadian charity and social franchise, the CityStudio program is available to global municipalities through a subscription and licensing framework that includes partnership administration, training and membership in our 15 city network.
