I was a faculty member in the English Department. I taught a mix of academic writing, business communication, and literature courses. I am most proud of two courses I taught at Langara. One was a writing course that explored Vancouver from multiple perspectives. We read Vancouver short stories, non-fiction essays, and academic research. Another course, designed specifically for Nursing students, focused on patient and nurses' narratives. In both cases, I aimed to adapt generic English classes to the specific needs of particular groups of students. Show less
