Reporting to the Manager, National Aboriginal Affaires, the Receptionist and Research Assistant will support the coordination and development of program initiatives for National Services and international services, CESO Montreal Regional Office.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLogistics• Support program logistics for both National Volunteer Advisor assignments• Assist with pre-departure documentation and travel arrangements for Volunteer Advisors• Support with organizing logistics of returning Volunteer Advisors, including debriefing sessions and processing expense claims • Assist CESO staff with special projects and eventsProgram Development • Carry out preliminary research on given topics in order to contribute to program growth• Present results of research to team members to assist with strategic program development• Attend conferences and special events as required• Work on special projects as requiredOffice operations• Support daily operations for National team • Assist the National program with logistics, research and writing as required• Support National team with the recruitment of Volunteer Advisors• Occasionally support and attend orientation sessions for new Volunteer AdvisorsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS• Strong organizational and time-management skills• Knowledge of travel logistics and expense claim forms• Ability to listen, take direction and prioritize tasks • Strong communication skills (oral and written)• Knowledge of office management procedures and practicesEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS• Experience in administration, planning, and logistics• Knowledge of international development and/or volunteer cooperation programs• Knowledge of Aboriginal development organizations, agencies, and commissions• Experience in a non-profit organization is an asset• Working knowledge of French is an asset
