During his two-term tenure as a Wasserman Center volunteer career advisor, and given his status as a doctoral candidate at NYU, I once asked Chuck to co-present a CV writing workshop with me. I was impressed enough to ask him to conduct a another presentation, this time for alumni, on writing effective personal statements for grad school. He didn't let me down, as he garnered terrific reviews for an informative and engaging talk. I look forward to Chuck becoming a full-time career development professional in the very near future.

During his externship (1.5 days/week) in our ADHD Center, Chuck conducted evaluations of children, adolescents, and adults for possible ADHD. Some of these evaluations involved formal psychological/psycho-educational testing as well. He also co-facilitated with me two CBT group treatment programs – one for adults and one for college-age students with ADHD – and carried two longer term individual therapy cases with adults with ADHD. I have found Chuck to be among the top trainees at the externship level – equivalent to many interns toward the end of training. In conducting evaluations, he integrated information from diverse sources to provide a fully comprehensive picture of the individual’s emotional and cognitive functioning, taking into account the family and socio-cultural context. He is interpersonally sensitive and insightful. He was able to quickly assimilate and apply the therapeutic principles and strategies in our CBT group intervention. With his individual cases, he showed he had an excellent sense of therapeutic timing, and was particularly persistent and patient in working with a difficult patient. I anticipate that Chuck will continue to become an excellent, well-rounded clinician.
