  Promoted to Full Professor in August, 2016. Awarded Bird Professorship in November, 2013. I was hired at ECU to build the Risk Management and Insurance program. As of July 2021 the program is at 100 majors and has graduated approximately 450 students. Our graduates enjoy a near 100% employment rate, and most finish with credit for one or more parts of CPCU and/or CIC. My research interests include: *the impact of insurance education on consumer attitudes *the insurance implications of the legalization of marijuana *the influences on a sales force in a direct sales enterprise *the U.S. pharmaceutical industry and its practices regarding public safety and risk management.
