  The main function of my role as an Inter Professional Learning Coordinator was to work across a range of health and social care organisations to embed interprofessional learning in practice. This included the Independent and Voluntary sector within the Portsmouth & South East Hampshire locality to support the delivery of interprofessional learning opportunities. I worked as part of the New Generation Project team within the Healthcare Innovation Unit at the University of Southampton but was employed by a host provider organisation in the geographical area I supported.The main focus of the role over a 2 year period was to facilitate and support the development of learning opportunities across the region in collaboration with practice colleagues, managers and organisational development leads. The aim being to develop practice based interprofessional learning for students studying health and social care at both the Universities of Portsmouth Southampton.
