Vasundharaa joined the Movers Programme in 2021 as an Aspiring Mover after attending a couple of workshops and now she has become a Mover Community Builder after facilitating more than 8 workshops and impacting more than 200 people. Movers Programme is an Asia-Pacific based movement through which we spread SDGs and 21st century skills awareness amongst youth through training-of-trainers approach. It has been wonderful working with her. We have facilitated multiple workshops together on themes including Gender Equality, LGBTQIA+ Inclusion, Climate Action, among others and she has been an amazing co-facilitator and an excellent mentor to the new volunteers who joined the programme after her. Vasundharaa and I also developed the LGBTQIA+ Inclusion module under the Movers Programme together and it was so easy to work with her. The way she engages with youth during these workshops is commendable and I would like to recommend Vasundharaa in any future engagement as she is not only diligent in terms of the responsibilities she undertakes but is also an amazing and hard working person.

Have been a clinician for the last 4 years and have dealt with pretty wide range of concerns in mental health. But the one concern that always alarmed me is the lack of understanding or the misunderstanding that people have in the field which often acts as the barrier. Hence decided to create a page where I could to try to create content on these themes. Well, what can I say! It was a dream for sure to be a part of this institute. Cleared my UGC-JRF during masters, and then a year later joined in the institute. I currently am pursuing my PhD in the field of Psychiatric Social Work. My PhD is in the area of brain infections wherein I am looking at exploring social factors influencing help seeking for brain infections patients using Mixed methods Research methodology with the outcome focussed on establishing checklist and guidelines for care at the micro, mesh and macro levels. My thesis title - "Social Factors influencing pathways of care for Persons with Acute Brain Infections". In simple words, what I am is to understand what makes a person in our country who suffers a fever, headache, nausea, vomiting etc (symptoms of brain infections like meningitis , encephalitis etc.) to seek or not to seek care at an individual, family and community levels. The end product is to have the list of identifiers which then can help a clinician who sees a condition like this to understand th dimensions involved and provide the necessary care. Show less

In this summer placement at Nepal, I was asked to carry out programs with HIV/AIDS infected or affected individuals living in the Shelter Homes funded by the organization. The focus of the interventions was on the awareness and safety of children infected with HIV on child protection, increasing the awareness and discussion among junior interns on social issues through discourse programs and planning out the Summer Camp proposal for the organization for the benefit of the beneficiaries. Further, I assisted in Family Counseling sessions in the Shelter Homes, who are in most need of psycho-social support and conducted the In-depth Research study to understand the effect of Stigma and Discrimination on the Social Lives of PLHA. My contributions to the organization during this period have helped the organization to evaluate the affectivity of the interventions provided by them. Show less
