A one week immersive course which takes place every July. The learners vary from beginners to advanced. I prepare engaging, interesting and valuable lessons for each level and deliver them for the duration of the course. Delivering lessons in a variety of subjects on Ulster's biannual Gaeltacht immersion courses. Responsibilities include lesson planning, teaching and directing the course in the absence of our Course Director. A wide variety of topics are covered, the aim of the course is to immerse the student in an Irish language environment and allow them to experience as many aspects of language acquisition as possible.My experience thus far has encompassed the delivery of lessons in Grammar, conversation / saibhriú teanga, modern Irish poetry and prose, folklore, Utopian literary theory with samples from modern Irish literature, writing and comprehension and debate skills. Ulster University was part of an outreach teaching service named 'Irish for all', a tutor was provided to different centres across a variety of areas in Belfast in order to provide Irish language lessons for members of the public. I was part of the team working in An Droichead in Belfast, teaching for one week in July 2015. My duties were to prepare lessons that would engage and interest the learners who all came from different backgrounds and had a range of abilities with the language.
