General Practice GPST2 & GPST3 Due to pandemic, the consultation modes were changed, I did mixture of consultation modes like telephone, video and face to face. I quickly adjusted to new norm of assessing and managing patients and making decisions. I dealt with patient cohorts belonging to urgent/emergency care, patients with chronic medical conditions and people seeking medical advice for minor/non-urgent illnesses and ailments across all age categories. Home visits – gained essential experience in assessment and management of housebound patients. I attended clinical & management meetings, did a quality improvement activity, project and leadership activity. During this rotation, I passed my examination AKT and RCA in first attempt. A&E Whiston Hospital GPST2 This rotation exposed me to wide range of adult & paediatric emergencies both related to major and minor clinical conditions. The Covid 19 Pandemic started immediately after I started the rotation, that challenging situation provided me opportunity to work in stressful & overdemanding unusual circumstances in the emergency service. This clinical experience prepared me to deal with similar conditions in the Primary care. It gave me confidence in managing patients under pressure and work as a team. Gynaecology & Obstetrics GPST2 Conducted inpatient and outpatient clinics, the outpatient clinics included antenatal clinics with complications like gestational diabetes & hypertension. I attended colposcopy & hysteroscopy clinic, became competent in speculum & bimanual vaginal examination. General Practice GPST1 Conducted GP clinics, managed various type of patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Managed urgent cases as well as chronic conditions. Urology GPST1 Conducted various urology related clinics under direct supervision of consultant. I learnt and managed incontinence, prostate diseases, recurrent UTIs, Haematuria &renal calculi. Attended urodynamic & cystoscopy & pelvic floor physiotherapy clinics. Show less
