  (a) Administrative / Oganisational (i) Rendered overall maintenance, technical upkeep and renovation of the Geological Museum and adjoining Labs (2-4 hrs/day); (ii) Supervised the sub-services of subordinate staff deputed to Museum/Labs (1-2 hrs/day); (iii) Kept records of Museum’s exhibits; (iv)Collected specimens for the Museum, identifying them and arranging them according to their typicality for class work use and/or regular display in the museum. (b) Teaching Assistance/Contribution (I) Co-curricular (i) Arranged for practical classes and examinations through museum specimens (4-6 hrs. per week); (ii) Guided students (B. Tech/ M. Sc & M. Sc (Tech.)/ M. Tech), Research Scholars and EDC/EDP course participants in their studies through museum specimen and discussion (10-15 hrs/semester); (iii) Received and taken around 300-500 visitors to the museum every year in their 75-125 numbers of visits and an average total stay of about 80-95 hours inside the museum- including I.S.M. students (30-35%), External students (10-15%),distinguished school guests (5-15%) and EDC/EDP course participants (15-25%). (II) Field Mapping Training Imparted Field Mapping Training to M. Sc.(Tech) /AGP students (10 working days per year) and local geological fieldwork with M.Sc./M.Sc (Tech)/AGL student’s for 4-days annually. (III) Practical Classes Assisted in practical classes/examinations in various subjects such as Optical Mineralogy (1984-88), Igneous/Sedimentary/Metamorphic Petrology (1984-89), Economic Geology (1985-90), Structural Geology (1985-93), Exploration Geology (1990-93); Or conducting it independently in other subjects such as Paleontology (1985-1990), Remote Sensing/Geomorphology (1984-1989). (IV)Guiding dissertation thesis for M.Sc.and M.Sc (Tech.)/Tech students and Research Scholars in geology/geostatistics .
