RCT4MANU was a European-funded project to test the value of a randomised control trial for a novel On secondment to KTN's Manufacturing and Materials Team, I was responsible for engagement with SME manufacturers following a first round of interventions, and for building a network of a dozen Innovation Agencies as potential delivery partners in the UK and Europe. National Director for the Manufacturing Advisory Service

I led the successful delivery of the UK government's £50m Manufacturing Advisory Service (now part of the Business Growth Service - see www.greatbusiness.gov.uk/mas). The national team of GT and consortium partners delivered essential support services to over 7000 small and medium manufacturers, resulting in £2bn of economic value.

Project Director, Fit for Nuclear and GROW Offshore Wind

I led GT's partnership with the Nuclear AMRC for co-delivery of the RGF-funded Fit for Nuclear programme for potential suppliers to the UK's market for advanced manufacturing in UK nuclear new build, decommissioning and existing fleet. We attracted over 500 advanced manufacturers to the sector, and helped 200 companies to improve their fitness to supply to the industry.I also oversaw the successful completion of the GROW: Offshore Wind support programme for suppliers to this emerging sector, defraying over £10m of grant funding and benefitting over 100 smaller manufacturers, enabling them to supply a wide range of UK-made advanced manufacturing products.
