I was working with an NGO (Janseva) which is working closely with the District Health Department and Tata Trusts in Implementation of National Program for Healthcare of the Elderly as a pilot project in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. (Program has been recognized as an innovative and replicable model in National Innovation Summit 2019). Coordinating with Health Professionals, Allied staff and Community health workers in initiating Geriatric Clinics at the government health facilities across Chandrapur district. (currently initiated 54 Primary Healthcare centers and 3 Sub district Hospitals and 10 Rural Hospitals) Building Capacity of Health Staff under NPHCE and Health and Wellness Centers towards delivering quality healthcare services to the Elderly Population. Addressing the other issues pertaining to the elderly by starting Elderly Activity Centers across Chandrapur and devising strategies towards sustainability (initiated 45 centers) Budget planning for programmatic activities and co ordinating and planning with district health department in budget utilization.
