      Main Project features: Unprecedented rain floods in Pakistan during months of August-September 2011 caused major havoc in terms of loss of lives and serious socio-economic consequences. Nearly 14 million population, residing in villages, towns and cities directly or indirectly displaced by the continuous rainfall. Among other hazards, health caused great problem for the displaced communities due to inadequate access of health services. After rapid assessment it was observed that flood affectees are suffering from acute diarrhea in Tando Allahyar District. Considering such critical condition to overcome the diseases, WHO has taken a significant initiative to establish a Diarrheal Treatment Centre (DTC) in civil hospital, Tando AllahyarDTC will provide services for 24/7 (round the clock) with the full support of WHO. Dedicated and experienced medical and trained paramedical staff will be deployed this will include male and female nurses. Other staff members such as ayahs and sanitary workers will also available all the time to keep the centre clean and up to the mark of WHO standards.
