Director of Community Education

Directly responsible for the program development of assessed interests of over 62,000 residents in the one of the highest performing school districts in the state. Full accountability for an overall department budget of $8.5 million, human resource functions for over 100 employees, and strategic planning oversight in the implementation of organizational goals that align with district mission and vision. Through a continual improvement process I directly supervise the employees that provide services identified by various socioeconomic and minority populations. In the last four years our department has grown preschool programs by 25%, summer camps by 100%, and implemented a district wide volunteer program. We have been heavily involved in strategies to effectively engage and connect district stakeholders through the creation of a community engagement and impact council, outreach to neighborhoods in need of services, and a family resource program coordinator who helps families navigate our community.

Through a continual improvement process I directly supervise the employees that provide services identified by various populations in the 250 square mile area. In the last two years our department has become responsible for the Outreach, Marketing and Communication for District 742. We have been heavily involved in the implementation of strategies to effectively improve district image and engage stakeholders.
