Savithri is an inspiring lecturer, who has always pushed me to do my best. She is encouraging but also honest, and her feedback is always constructive. As a student, Savithri's wealth of knowledge of fashion, history and the arts is invaluable to me, and she is always keen to learn from her students. Savithri's passion for her subject, as well as her students is always evident and this, in turn, pushes me to go further in my academic studies. In my final year of undergraduate study, I requested that Savithri become my dissertation supervisor (for the reasons mentioned above). Working with Savithri has proved rewarding. I feel I have been challenged by her, but also praised where needs be - and hopefully the outcome of this excellent tutelage will be evident within my work! She is a truly brilliant teacher. When Savithri would teach us, her lecturing was very clear, and her lessons were always engaging. I know that a lot of students were fond of her and highly regarded her opinion for making decisions in class and with assignments.

Savithri's energy and enthusiasm are infectious and I always come away from conversations or meetings with her full of positivity. Her energy and enthusiasm are perhaps only surpassed by her deep knowledge and commitment to responsible fashion. I've worked with Savithri in an academic setting and seen how she is able to motivate her students and push them to excel. I am so pleased for Savithri on the appointment to her new role with BFC.
