Project I: A Novel Approach towards Bit Pattern Media: Fabrication of ordered multilayer nanodot using the barrier layer of anodic alumina templates •Deposition of Co/Pt, Pd/Co multilayers on the barrier layer of ordered anodic alumina templates by magnetron sputtering machine • Carrying out structural study at Nano-scale by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) • Characterization of these materials by sophisticated tools like MFM, AFM, SQUID, Hall Effect • Analyzing the data and finally making deliverables & milestones reports and publications Project II : To fabricate & study 2D nano-composite materials intended for Magnetic sensor • Fabrication of Co nano-brush into alumina templates by using Electro deposition technique • Chemical and Plasma Etching of nano-tips • Fabrication of 2d Co/Au nano-composite system by using RF/dc sputtering • Characterization of these materials by sophisticated tools like SEM, SQUID, Hall Effect etc • Analyzing the data and finally making deliverables & milestones reports Accomplishment: Successfully developed a new method to fabricate ordered multilayer nanodot using the barrier layer of anodic alumina templates as two-dimensional curved substrates The depositions of Co/Pt, Pd/Co multilayers on this bumpy surface leads to an ordered array of single-domain nano-caps magnetized perpendicularly to the sample surface. Such materials can be one of those future materials for application in bit pattern media

Project: Nonmagnetic impurity induced magnetism in oxide materials for spintronics • Worked as a core member of team on this project • Responsibility for coordinating 15 team members from labs located in France and Germany • Preparation of oxides ceramics like ZrO2, TiO2, ZnO and SnO2 doped with Li, K, Na • To study structural properties (with XRD, SEM, EDS), magnetic and transport properties • Gained experience of preparing single crystals as well • Making reports and writing scientific publications. Accomplishment: Successfully prepared and characterized several oxides materials like TiO2, ZnO and SnO2 doped with K, Na, and Ca, which can be new future materials for spintronics The success of project was in terms of various international publication
