• SPM based nano-surface profile analysis to observe high field domain formation due to dynamic carriers in Terahertz (THz) Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) under operation. • Nanoscopic probing based SVM technique to map and profile voltage across the THz QCLs in vivo. • Establishing cryogenic SVM based on AFM, a 2D nano-surface voltage scanning technique, to directly image and observe nonlinearity and electric field domains present in operating THz QCLs. • 2D profiling of carriers and estimation of doping concentration in THz QCLs using scanning spreading resistance microscopy (SSRM) and scanning capacitance microscopy (SCM) technique on AFM.
