I did my PhD study at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India, where I focused my research on “Statin Modulation of Histone Deacetylases in Diabetic Nephropathy”. My findings suggest that histone deacetylases-inhibition by statins may provide a novel means to protect against renal injury in diabetes mellitus, which was published in Scientific Report, where I am the first author.
