Lead the Process team to develop and deliver scopes relevant to decommissioning EnQuest's Heather Alpha & Thistle Alpha oil & gas production platforms. Scopes included (delivered in accordance with relevant standards, regulations & legislation): 1. Sized & specified a Nitrogen Generator Package to ensure the flare system was suitably purged and devoid of potentially explosive atmospheres during decommissioning activities; 2. Sized & specified a Potable Water Maker Package to ensure reliance upon supply boat bunkering was minimised esp. during the winter season, thereby ensuring sufficient water was available for personnel onboard during offshore decommissioning related activities; 3. Generated a comprehensive suite of platform P&IDs clearly illustrating the segregation between 'live' vs. 'redundant' process and utility systems, in accordance with the prevailing isolation standards; 4. Reconfigured the topsides process and utility systems to allow P&A fluids to be received, processed and discharged overboard at OIW content <<30ppm - included choke valve sizing in collaboration with the Wells department, reconfiguring fluid/oil/produced water transfer via new pump sets, hydrocyclone liner specification and re-setting PSV set pressures, alarm and trips set-points to ensure safe platform operations during P&A operations. BP - Sullom Voe Terminal (SVT) Delivered an engineering development concept which facilitated export quality gas ex. Terminal to be fiscally metered & simultaneously routed to both the Total Shetland Gas Plant and via the existing gas export route to the Magnus platform. Tullow Oil Ltd (Ghana) As part of the Jubilee Field Water Task Force SoW, specified a suitable flow control scheme to allow the Sulphate Removal Package (SRP) to be bypassed under normal and maximum throughput conditions. Anasuria Operating Company (AOC) 1. Generated a strategy & supporting engineering deliverables which allowed the segregation of pipework between the TEG Regeneration system and hydrocyclone recovered oil lines, thereby enhancing direct oil recovery c/w minimising corrosion/erosion of existing flare system pipework. 2. Developed a range of upstream filtration arrangements which safeguarded the TEG Contactor LCV against blockage, thereby increasing operational uptime. 3. Generated a suite of engineering deliverables to allow the 3off seawater & 2off firewater (port & starboard) sea chests to be dosed with sodium hypochlorite, so as to control marine growth esp. during the summer bloom period, which holistically enhanced the cooling system capacity and improved asset operational uptime. At company inception, identified key technical and economic metrics such that the framework for a UKCS offshore heavy oil (10.3 API) field development concept was established, in support of OGA stipulated and agreed milestones. Performed a review of available technologies applicable to offshore heavy oil processing including artificial lift selection, emulsion management and diluent blending so as to maximise operational uptime and delivery of refinery-gate specifications at export/offload. In collaboration with a reputable engineering consultancy generated PFDs, MELs and H&MBs for a suite of 30+ discrete standalone and area field development concepts allowing relevant cost components such as CapEx, DrillEx, OpEx and AbEx cost estimates to be generated and input into the overall Field Economic Model, thereby allowing the preferred technically credible and economically feasible Field Development Case to be selected. Defined and managed all scopes, budgets and delivery schedules regarding 3rd party suppliers i.e. engineering consultancies, laboratories, technology vendors and collaborative operator studies. Developed a novel methodology to 'carbon footprint' the selected Field Development Case, such that potential investors could readily assess the Bentley offshore heavy oil field development against conventional oil & gas field developments - this was specifically commended by the OGA. Delivered all relevant technical input into the Virtual Data Room (VDR) regarding facilities engineering, including the investor focused Information Memorandum & Management Presentation, in support of the field farm-out organic growth strategy. Performed technical assurance and operational due diligence on a variety of investment opportunities in support of the inorganic growth strategy i.e. acquiring a balanced portfolio of UKCS producing assets. Reported directly to the COO, c/w regularly presenting progress to the CEO & CFO - supported the sales process to a UKCS operator. Show less
