  The position involves wide ranging administrative responsibilities necessary for the running of an institution.These may be related to management of budget and finance at the institution, coordinating estate maintenance and implementation of new projects from time to time, legal matters, compliance matters and personnel related matters, among others. As a member of committees handling vital matters such as placement, admissions and AACSB accreditation, I am expected to provided inputs from time to time. I facilitate learning of subjects such as Operations Management (core course) and Advanced Inventory and Lean Management (elective). .During the year 2014-15, TAPMI nominated me to the Global Colloquium on Participant Centered Learning conducted by Harvard University (in two segments, at Boston and Shanghai)I was awarded a Ph D. by Manipal University in May 2015. The topic was "Customer Contact in Technology Generated Contexts", and is generally in the area of Service Operations Management. My research work is now in this area.

  I had been teaching at TAPMI primarily in the areas of Operations Management, Operations Strategy and Advanced Inventory and Lean Management. I have also taught courses on Supply Chain Management regularly till 2010, and courses on Business Statistics and Quality Management earlier, as per requirement of the institute. I had been Chairman Placement and Chairman Post Graduate Programme at the Institute, during some of the prior years. I was also in a Committee that worked towards achievement of AACSB Accreditation for TAPMI. I had been a member of the Admissions Committee across the years. Thus I have been involved in academic administration at TAPMI. I have also been conducting Executive Education for middle level managers and have been associated with teaching Quantitative Techniques for mid level Project Managers in the past few years, at L&T Institute of Project Management (Vadodara). I have taught Operations Management/Supply Chain Management to executives at Oracle, HP, etc..during earlier years.
