      1. Developed a novel method using co-precipitation and ultrasonication processes to synthesis Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (SPIONs). 2. Worked on the fabrication of various core-shell functionalized nanoparticles using a number of organic moieties and metals. 3. Developed heterogeneous Magnetically Separable Catalysts (MSCs) for various organic transformations. 4. Synthesized diverse heterocyclic compounds such as 4H-chromene scaffolds, Pyrazole derivatives, α-aminonitriles, and thiooxopyrimidine derivatives by utilizing previously fabricated core-shell nanoparticles. 5. Conducted in-vitro anticancer experiments on breast cancer cell lines : MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 by using capsaicin, curcumin, diallyl disulfide and piperine functionalized SPIONs as anticancer agents. 6. Designed salicylaldehyde coated nanoparticles which were successfully used as nano-adsorbents to remove lead heavy metal ions from water. Show less
