Dr Prashanth has been my mentor since 2013. He played a very vital role in shaping our team's methodology to develop UAVs. He devoted time and effort to personally mentor our team, Edhitha to win the Student Unmanned Air Systems Competition conducted by the AUVSI in 2015. I also worked with him on the Outback Rescue Challenge, Australia for the year 2014. Dr Prashanth is always enthusiastic to share his expertise with numerous people. I have seen him work with students,industry professionals and academia, sharing his ideas and coming up with innovative solutions to problems that always followed a multidisciplinary approach. One such example is his idea to measure background radiation using a geiger counter mounted on a UAV. I learned the importance of contributing to the society from him. He has been pivotal in grooming me to become a confident and dedicated professional.Dr Prashanth inspires everyone around him to be innovative and opens up new avenues for ideas and research combining a multitude of topics and disciplines.
