The first is that recorded in a the paper entitled “A Methodology for Facility Design and Optimal Loading of an Electroplating Plant, Markus Marschall, B R Kiran, S R Chandrasekhar and Prabhakar Sastri, Transactions of the IMF 2015; 93(1); 4-7. The second which is being chronicled is the increase in productivity of a 100% (from 6000 tons per month to 12000 tons per month) in one of the Electric Arc Furnace Facility within a period of six months. The third is the increase in productivity of a 50% (from 135 tons per day to 195 tons per day) in one of the Vegetable Oil Refining Facility within a period of four months. The fourth is Modelling of Facilities required for Plant Expansion. We have done this for JSW and for Essar Gujarat wherein when the plant capacity is being increased the facilities and equipment required is predicted using modelling techniques. This includes ancillaries as well as infrastructure such as rail and roadways.
